About
The Guzheng Ensemble brings together students who share an interest in playing the guzheng, a traditional Chinese musical instrument with 21 strings. From lively, fast-paced pieces to slower, more expressive melodies, members explore the versatility of the instrument and learn to bring out the character of each musical piece. In the ensemble, every member works on their individual playing techniques and learns to coordinate with one another to produce a harmonious ensemble sound. With a common passion for music and a commitment to doing their best, the Guzheng Ensemble nurtures strong musicianship alongside values, such as teamwork and resilience.
